Emergency Doctors is a video consultation service that connects you with senior emergency medicine consultants quickly and conveniently. Our doctors can assess your symptoms, provide medical advice, and guide you on the next steps - all from the comfort of your home.

We provide the same quality of care as an A&E visit - without the wait.

To use our service:

  • Book a consultation online.
  • Join your secure video call at the scheduled time.
  • Speak directly with an Emergency Medicine Consultant.
  • Receive medical advice, treatment options and follow-up recommendations.

Yes - and importantly, we only employ the most senior level of hospital doctors.

All our doctors are:

  • Consultants in Emergency Medicine (the highest level of doctor in UK hospitals)
  • Currently working in NHS A&E departments
  • Acting as clinical leaders, responsible for overseeing patient care and guiding other doctors
  • Based in the UK, working within the NHS system

Unlike many services, we do not employ Resident or Junior doctors. This means every consultation is with a highly experienced specialist, giving you confidence that you are receiving the best possible advice from the start.

You will usually be connected with a doctor within 1 to 4 minutes.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, always call 999 immediately.

Emergency Doctors is suitable for urgent medical problems that are not life-threatening but where you would normally consider going to A&E, such as:

  • Sudden illness or significant pain
  • Minor injuries
  • Infections or fever
  • Symptoms you are concerned about and want urgent expert advice on

We provide rapid access to senior emergency doctors to help you get the right care quickly.

If, after your consultation, you need to attend A&E we will provide you with a clinical assessment letter written by one of our NHS A&E Consultant doctors. This letter will outline your symptoms, findings and next steps.

This helps ensure:

  • You are triaged efficiently on arrival
  • The A&E team has clear, senior-level clinical information
  • Your care is progressed as quickly as possible

Please note: all NHS A&E departments prioritise patients based on clinical urgency, but our assessment helps streamline your care and avoid unnecessary delays.

Why the UK Needs Private Remote Urgent and Acute Care Clinics

What was once considered “winter pressure” has now become a year-round reality. Emergency departments are consistently overcrowded, inpatient beds remain limited, and patients are waiting far too long for urgent assessment and treatment.
